JONATHAN COFFINGTON

Vice President

Jonathan is the Associate Vice President for University Communications at Indiana University. At IU, he leads communications initiatives for the multi-campus university, including its core campuses in Bloomington and Indianapolis, and its regional campuses. Prior to joining Indiana University, he was a senior vice president in the Indianapolis office of VOX Global, a public affairs and communications agency based in Washington, DC, where he co-chaired the agency's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Practice Group. He also previously served as associate vice president for communications and chief of staff to the president at DePauw University (his alma mater), after starting his career in communications roles on Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon. Jonathan is a proud member of -- and advocate for -- the LGBTQ community. He lives in the Mapleton Fall Creek neighborhood of Indianapolis with his fiancé Sean and three dogs Gibson, Ruthie and Scout. Ask him how baking cinnamon rolls during COVID led to his work with the IPS Equity Fund and the IPS Foundation.
